DUNDARAVE TOWNHOME

We removed the dining room wall to open up the kitchen and improve both functionality, design and flow. This also let in more light across all of the main living spaces.

KITCHEN:

In cabinetry design sometimes less is more: A simple clean lined look is achieved with flat panel cabinet doors and minimal hardware so as not to interfere with the lines of the wood grain.

Panel ready appliances along with sleek cabinetry drawer pulls create a streamlined and integrated finish in this contemporary kitchen.

By taking the custom cabinet uppers to the ceiling, we eliminated the dust collecting gap and created more storage space while also modernizing the home.

Using the same material for both the counters and the backsplash gives this kitchen a seamless and cohesive finish, adding a more subtle texture than backsplash tile.

We were unable to move….so I designed this at home coffee station - a functional and stylish way to work around these constraints.

PAINT/WALLPAPER:

It was time to move on from the 80’s peach wall colour! Benjamin Moore’s Classic Grey is a white paint alternative for rooms that need more pigment on the wall. In south facing rooms white paint can look stark - and bright whites will reflect surrounding colours. The subtle undertones in Classic Grey neutralises the surrounding colours while still making the room feel light and contemporary.

We used wallpaper for the accent wall in the powder room to bring fresh colour, texture and uniqueness to the space.

BATHROOMS:

In this primary bathroom renovation, installing a larger vanity mirror rather than two smaller mirrors expanded the space visually and reflected more light. The smaller footprint freestanding tub also made the space much airier than the traditional built-in soaker.

Larger format tile on both the floor and the walls creates a cohesive and more open feel to this bathroom. The warmer wood grain cabinetry offered a nice contrast to the cooler tile colour.

LIGHTING:

The breakfast nook in this townhome was elevated with sleek, modern finishings. The circular light fixture complements the round table by echoing the shape and providing a cohesive aesthetic.

The trend to not be on trend: The home is our canvas to express ourselves, and incorporating existing pieces with new production furnishings will create a personalized space where you will feel most at home.
